On October 10, we will gather in Rotterdam to call on the World Medical Association to suspend the Israeli Medical Association.

Suspend the Israeli Medical Association

From October 7–10, the World Medical Association (WMA) will hold its General Assembly in Rotterdam. The Israeli Medical Association (IMA) will also be present.

We are calling on the WMA to suspend the IMA. On October 10, while the WMA is meeting in Rotterdam, we will come together to make our voices heard.

The WMA presents itself as an international guardian of medical ethics. We believe it is unacceptable for the IMA to remain a member while serious questions exist about its conduct and its adherence to fundamental principles of medical ethics and medical neutrality.

Not only for healthcare professionals

This demonstration is explicitly not only for doctors and other healthcare professionals. Everyone is welcome.

Healthcare affects all of us. Anyone can become a patient. What happens in healthcare has consequences for patients, families and society as a whole. Protecting patients, healthcare workers and medical neutrality is therefore a responsibility that concerns us all.
